Well thehole has done exactly that, the son of an unmarried mother.

Too many variables (age medical conditions, etc). Look at some of the comparison sites but knowing that you have some medical issues I think you may struggle to get insurance for that price.Onelife wrote: 16 Feb 2026, 09:48can someone recommend a single trip cruise insurance company….I’m not too bothered about the cost as long as it's no more than £50 per person.

Not really a problem for you as you only have a few weeks to wait before you can start looking and as long as you have it in place when you pay the balance then you should not have problems. Don't just linit yourself to single trip insurance as I have found in the past that it is sometimes cheaper to get an annual policy that a single trip - just make sure that with an annual one you have enough cover until the end of the cruise.Onelife wrote: 16 Feb 2026, 10:20I wasn’t aware that taking single travel insurance was dependent on the time period
You will only know that when/if you have to make a claim.

Onelife wrote: 16 Feb 2026, 10:20Thanks David, I wasn’t aware that taking single travel insurance was dependent on the time period…we are doing a 19 day cruise so I want a trusted company that pays out without any hassle.

You may actually find that an annual policy is not much more expensive than single trip. But I guess it depends if you intend to have more than one holiday a year.Onelife wrote: 16 Feb 2026, 10:20Thanks David, I wasn’t aware that taking single travel insurance was dependent on the time period…we are doing a 19 day cruise so I want a trusted company that pays out without any hassle.
