Same here.

I note they have just released a November 2026 19 night Arcadia cruise to the Aegean at what look to me rock bottom prices.

Don't know, we were expecting to go to the Azores, but went somewhere else. Expecting to go to Cuba, but went somewhere else. Can't remember booking a mystery cruise

Check your travel insurance Ray, you might be able to claim for missed ports.

Stephen, if you look back a few weeks ago, I did suggest on a different post that I hope Trumps efforts to slowly strangle the life out of the Cubans will not impact our visit to Cuba.
Well the 🐴hole has done exactly that, the son of an unmarried mother.

Eastern Med…only 62 weeks to go…and on that note, can someone recommend a single trip cruise insurance company….I’m not too bothered about the cost as long as it's no more than £50 per person. ;) :)

Thanks

Too many variables (age medical conditions, etc). Look at some of the comparison sites but knowing that you have some medical issues I think you may struggle to get insurance for that price.

Also you will probably find it difficult to get single trip insurance over 12 months out.

Thanks David, I wasn’t aware that taking single travel insurance was dependent on the time period…we are doing a 19 day cruise so I want a trusted company that pays out without any hassle.

Not really a problem for you as you only have a few weeks to wait before you can start looking and as long as you have it in place when you pay the balance then you should not have problems. Don't just linit yourself to single trip insurance as I have found in the past that it is sometimes cheaper to get an annual policy that a single trip - just make sure that with an annual one you have enough cover until the end of the cruise.

You will only know that when/if you have to make a claim.

Always found LV (Liverpool Victoria) very good and no problems when making a claim. No harm getting a quote.

Agree with Stephen, although I have not used them myself, I have also heard that LV ( Liverpool Victoria ) is a good company for travel insurance but like all others they do expect you to be honest about pre-existing medical conditions.

Don't forget to ask for " Cruise Cover " which I believe adds about 10% to a standard insurance policy
It should include specific protection such as "cabin confinement" (if you are confined to your cabin by the ship's doctor), missed port departure, and possibly itinerary changes.

I agree that LV are very good no matter what insurance you are looking for. Unfortunately when I asked for a quote for my travel insurance it came back very expensive (£1220). By shopping around I found Nationwide Flexplus was much cheaper but as in all cases you don't know how good your insurance company is until you need them although reviews are positive.

You may actually find that an annual policy is not much more expensive than single trip. But I guess it depends if you intend to have more than one holiday a year.
