I see Princess Genie has been ousted from one of her longstanding charities….They’ve probably got her out before more damaging details come out about her involvement with Epstein....shame, because I know a lot of you look up to this dysfunctional family of freeloaders :D
Just because we enjoy the pageantry that comes with a Monarchy does not mean that we look up to the members of the Royal family. However I do admire those that fulfil their roles to the best of their ability, just as I admire the top entrepreneurs, and top sport men and women. But most of all I much prefer our system of a royal head of state, compared to any of the alternatives.

So will Charlie be credited with turning the tide of America's accusation of sovereignty of the Falkland Islands..You Betcha!... He's Great, Fantastic and knows all about who owns what…not surprising when he’s considered to be the biggest land owner in the world.

You do talk some tosh sometimes OL. The land you refer to is not owned by the King personally, it belongs to the Crown Estate. All the profits from it go to the Treasury, i.e. us, not the Monarch.

Personally i feel the King should not go to America.
Firstly their security is obviously shite and secondly why should we go cow towing to a man who is clearly unstable and will make all the right noises while the King is there and then probably slate him and our country as soon as the plane has left the runway.

Can somebody explain why some Americans think that the King (ours not theirs) should meet with the families of the Epstein victims? As far as I am aware Epstein had no connection to the UK other than visiting his "mates"

Technically speaking that may be true but he along with Will do pretty well out of the other Land grabs they own…

These duchies are private estates that provide income to their respective holders.

The Duchy of Lancaster is believed to own approximately 44,748 acres of land in England and Wales and comprises commercial, agricultural and residential properties, the majority of which are in Lancashire, Yorkshire, Cheshire, Staffordshire and Lincolnshire. These holdings include Higham Ferrers estate in Northamptonshire, which was acquired in 1266; Ogmore Estate, which has an active limestone quarry; Pontefract Castle; and Harrogate Ladies College. The Duchy also owns property in London, predominantly in the Savoy precinct off the Strand.
The Royal Family also owns private holdings, which includes the reigning monarch’s private estates, including Sandringham and Balmoral – both of which are significant in scale. Sandringham, for example, is a 20,000-acre estate. Balmoral (one of the best royal residences to visit) is bigger still, covering roughly 50,000 acres. We included Sandringham in our round-up of the best walks in Norfolk.

For gawds sake Sir Merv ... .some of their estates are nearly as big as mine. :)

I don’t know where OL gets his figures from but they are so far from reality as to sound like wild guesses. Try these:

But he can't quote the King as only owning 20,000 acres since it would totally undermine his regular rants.

Are you thinking of your Republican orange looney over in the States? That’s just one disaster a monarchy saves us from. Oh yes it is 👍

I personally wouldn't use “Monarchy" and “Saves us” in the same sentence, but enjoy it while you can…times are changing and not soon enough as far as I’m concerned.  :D

You’ve about as much chance of that happening as you’ve got in your friend Trump telling the truth.

I’ve always thought of friendships as a two way thing, not something which is presumed by others to suit their own narrative.

The one thing which is certain is that you or I won’t be around to see who was right ... .less of course Willie gets caught with his trousers down. again!

I don’t think a large proportion of Americans even know he’s going, and if the truth be known, couldn’t care less.

I think the call for Charlie to meet with the Epstein victims is one of keeping their campaign in focus…especially considering Charlie's family connections.

A large proportion of Americans have no idea where the UK is!

I once met one planning a visit who was wondering if he could fit Cambridge and Edinburgh into the same day of his itinerary.
