J308 to Iceland
We are on Arcadia to Iceland and Norway in July. Previously had a great cruise to the fjords with sparkling weather but never been to Iceland before so what should we expect temperature-wise? I suspect Mrs C will pack for any possible eventuality anyway !
Also, any suggestions of what to see and do in Reykjavik, Isafjordur and Akureyri most gratefully received

I did the Fjords and Iceland on dear old 'Arty', I will try and find the brochure and look to see which tours I did. It was brilliant although we did have one port cancelled due to fog. It was warmer in Iceland than in Ireland where the ship stopped on the way back.

We were very lucky in July in Iceland, had a balmy eight degrees and no midges.
Had a pile of pics on the crappo site and I will try to upload some on here for you if you request it.
Some go to the Blue Lagoon in Reykjavik but we opted to do a walkabout and very interesting it was too, as for Akureyri I suggest a trip so that you discover the rugid and awesome natural forces of this dramatic Island ... we did ' Jewels of the North ' .... click on link below ...

We did the Grand Event on Arcadia to Iceland and at all 3 ports the weather was very nice indeed and at worst only a light jacket was needed.

I was surprised how much I enjoyed Iceland - we did The golden Circle Tour for Reykjavik and Jewels of the North in Akureyri. I wouldn't want to get left behind there - some places like the hot springs with bubbling mud were like scenes from a horror film.qbman1 wrote:We are on Arcadia to Iceland and Norway in July.
