My Broadbands back!

To the tune of My Boyfriends back by the Chiffons, altogether now:-

My broadband's back I've rejoined the on-line bubble
(Hey la, hey la, my broadband's back)
My broadband's back and now my speed is double
(Hey la, hey la, my broadband's back).

What a relief after several weeks of gradually increasing outage and lousy speeds I persuaded Sky to send an engineer out, and after replacing a fraying outside line I am now cooking on gas as they say. Speed is now up to nearly 6mb from an available 6.5mb and a previous supposedly available 4mb but quite often below 3mb and occasionally down to 400kbps!!!

This mornings paper has an article that says a good cuppa, a best friend and fast internet access are high on a list of requirements for an enjoyable life, after 4 days with only intermittent access I cannot disagree with this.

John I think I'd add an understanding wife to that list - Pauline must be so pleased you are "up and running" again Only kidding must have been very frustrating for you not to be on full throttle Better stop it now or you won't talk to me again

I'd be delighted if our broadband was more than 1.5mb.

I got infinity today.... Not noticed much increase in speed, probably 'cos my laptop is ancient....

20 MEG..here..whatever that means
