You always have coronation chicken, can't you go mental and have egg mayo one day? There is no excuse for anybody to eat oven chips, they taste like germolene.

We might make mention of you on this list, but while SS is a lot closer, your emporium is the best part of 400 miles away from here, so regrettably popping in to see you is not a practical optionHK phooey wrote:I suppose the scanner and the cheese and onion toastie muncher will be in to see me shortly. I do curried egg mayo from time to time but we roasted two chicken breasts at the weekend and that does three days' worth of sandwiches. Maybe Parma ham tomorrow ?HK phooey wrote:You always have coronation chicken, can't you go mental and have egg mayo one day? I tend to agree about oven chips but it is quick and easy through necessity. When we have home grown 'taters in store we will do potato wedges but at this time of year when the new potatoes are in it is a bit of a waste to bake them. Digging our first root of International Kidney on Sunday. It's the same potato that they grow as the Jersey Royal but they can't call them that unless they are grown on Jersey

May I ask how you know what Germolene tastes like?

Hasn't everyone accidentally ingested a drop of germolene?

Personally no; but from what I hear, you do have a tendency to be accident prone - so perhaps it's not surprising.
Got it mixed up with the toothpaste perhaps?

I've a feeling you might be going to - but hang on until I have made myself a C&O toastie for lunch. I can face it much better after some sustenance.

Well seing as you've asked...what happened was I had self diagnosed with a touch of meningitis but was reluctant to undergo a lumbar puncture so thought I'd wait and see how I was in the morning. This was halloween and the children had been promised trick or treating for the first time. Paul (the long suffering) refused to take them 'out begging' so I had to, even though I had meningitiis!!!!

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Afternoon all
Well I seem to have missed a lot of fun this morning - what with HK apparently eating Germolene or toothpaste to cure meningitis, cubie being left a gardeining widow to fend for himself on Pizza and (germolene flavoured) oven chips it's been all go. In the midst of this I'll just trot into the lead while everyone's looking the other way
And just as I'm about to post I hear AM being advised to take sleeping tablets

I need something quicker acting than that, like SS's Milk of Amnesia, or O'Blivion's Irish Poteen.qbman1 wrote:Make it with added mogadon AM

For the sake your health, not to mention your teeth, I'd strongly advise you to cook the pizza....qbman1 wrote:I am, I do and I have. I am just about to tuck into a (home-made this morning by my fair hand) Coronation-esque Chicken creation. Frozen pizza and oven chips tonight though !

dead easy, mate. Thaw out your pizza. Set the oven to 280o, pop the pizza in for one hour. Go across the road to the pub for a couple of bevvies. Come back to house. Switch oven off. Open window to let the smoke out. Place charred pizza in bin. Phone Dominos.qbman1 wrote:I don't have a recipe....!Silver_Shiney wrote:For the sake your health, not to mention your teeth, I'd strongly advise you to cook the pizza....qbman1 wrote:I am, I do and I have. Re: Last One to Post Wins
Very helpful, thanks. Only problem is, the nearest pub to us doubles as a curry house so I wouldn't get past the door without ordering a Rogan Josh or Jalfrezi which would make said pizza rather surplus to requirements!
