Male or Female

It is interesting seeing some of the avatars going up but, and I will not mention names, I was surprised when one went up. I had always thought the person was one female but their avatar shows they are actually male (or possibly very butch) ... no reason, just a wrong assumption on my part.

Anybody else been surprised by finding out someone was of a different sex (and no I am not talking about a drunken night out in Bangkok).

When I first logged into the P & O site I was told that people assumed I was a member of the opposite sex......

Jack I always thought you were male ( until someone told me differently ) just the name I guess

I have made a few mistakes by thinking someone was male/female based purely on their name, in fact much to my embarrassment someone who has been a forum friend now for quite a few years initially I thought was male and I actually flirted with them

I have always tried not to think of anyone having a particular gender, as they could be anything really, even if they do post a picture...as some of us may remember!!

Absolutely right. I take it that despite your user name, you could be female, in exactly the same way that I could be male.
