We have two resident hedgehogs who help with that.

Oh, the wit of the night shift !

Can't a chap just sit in his garden and enjoy the birdsong without you lot analysing everything ?!

Anyway, morning to all you happy losers. This time next week we shall be at anchor in Dublin Bay, basking in 30 degrees

Must have been the pub, and a hard session at that, if Cubie thinks 0720 is the night-shift.

You dirty stop-out, you! ;)

Whats with this anchoring in Dublin bay - are they saving port fees by not going alongside now?

No idea - I had an e-mail a few months back to say we would be tendering in Dublin. I thought it was a bit strange as well

It looks as though that's what they are doing now. Getting ashore at Dublin from both X315 & X317 with Oriana involve tendering.

I guess it is something to do with the port itself. Hopefully all will become clear on Tuesday (including the weather) !

I remember when we last docked at Dublin - it was way out right in the commercial area. The dock workers were on strike and we were shuttled in and out of Dublin.

Given the agility required to get on and off tenders is the sea is at all choppy, I suggest you go easy on the black stuff...

Don't fret, AM, there will be enough burly seamen on call to manhandle me back on to the old tub should the need arise. A chap can't visit Dublin without sampling the local delicacies now, can he ?!

Perish the thought - but I wasn't suggesting abstinence - merely moderation.

Would love to be going on a Fiords cruise. Having trouble persuading hubby it's not cold all the time.

Have had two cruises to Norway in August, and on both occasions the weather was at least as good as in the UK.
