Whats with this anchoring in Dublin bay - are they saving port fees by not going alongside now?

No idea - I had an e-mail a few months back to say we would be tendering in Dublin. I thought it was a bit strange as well

It looks as though that's what they are doing now. Getting ashore at Dublin from both X315 & X317 with Oriana involve tendering.

I guess it is something to do with the port itself. Hopefully all will become clear on Tuesday (including the weather) !

I remember when we last docked at Dublin - it was way out right in the commercial area. The dock workers were on strike and we were shuttled in and out of Dublin.

Would love to be going on a Fiords cruise. Having trouble persuading hubby it's not cold all the time.

Have had two cruises to Norway in August, and on both occasions the weather was at least as good as in the UK.
