I thought I was going to have to change my name but the space in Gill W actually makes 6 characters, so I'm still me

AngieT. Would it be Growler by any chance? I'm also from Leeds and that is the only name I can come up with for a Pork Pie.
I am/was Biglegs on the P & O forum and so glad to have found you all. I might not have posted very often but I logged on every day and really missed you all.
Well done David. This forum is fantastic.

A good suggestion from Moby for those who have changed username is to add a signature to show automatically after your posts to say something like "I am username on P&O forum"
To have a signature :
Click on the little cog above.
Then select profile.
TheN select edit signature.
Simples.

Yes Janine you have just won an award winning pork pie (funnily enough The Great Northen Cook is on the TV & he is making pork pies in Huddersfield as I type)!Loiner wrote:AngieT. Would it be Growler by any chance? I'm also from Leeds and that is the only name I can come up with for a Pork Pie.

I have changed my name very slightly from David and Shirley T. As I do all the posting and reading on the forums I have changed to ShirleyT.

Thank you ArtemisMiss and DM for your kind welcome. I am trying to recruit another from the Artemis final voyage. We joined her and her husband for the syndicate quiz if you remember ArtemisMiss, and had quite a bit of success. In September she posted quite a few interesting reports from Aurora during the cruise to USA and Canada under the name Grandmakaty. I have e-mailed her and suggested she has a look at this new forum and joins us.

The more the merrier, Shirley.
Hopefully if all members pass on the details to their cruising friends, then the word will spread quickly.

Great news Shirley, I do know the lady of whom you speak (and her lovely husband) and am glad you have invited them - lets hope they accept the invite as their posts are highly informative.ShirleyT wrote:Thank you ArtemisMiss and DM for your kind welcome. I tend to keep the same screen name where one is required, give or take upper or lower case as required, I think it maintains continuity & people know who they are talking to, it can have disadvantages though!

Yes mine is, I was LynP on P & O site, but changed it for this one - because I love the Harry Belafonte song - 'This is my island in the sun!'
