After chasing P&O re an email I sent them a month ago, I received the following reply

Thank you for your email.

Firstly, let us apologise for the delayed response to your original email. It was certainly not our intention to do so. Secondly, to provide you with an update on the community. There are no plans to bring back the forum in it's previous form. As noted previously, it was an old platform that placed considerable strain on our servers, effecting the performance of the overall website. Furthermore, we felt it did not present a positive user experience to our passengers and as such, had to take the regrettable decision of removing it entirely. There has been talk of bringing in a new platform, but discussions are ongoing and this is not likely to happen for some time. Unfortunately, this does mean that a replacement forum in the short-term is highly unlikely.

Some of the members of the old community have setup a forum of their own, to discuss P&O Cruises and all things cruising. It might be worth your time finding it if you are interested in keeping up-to-date with them.

That's quite sweet of them to point people in the right direction.

If we are their replacement then perhaps they would be kind enough to post our URL and to respond to requests for assistance when we try to locate ex Members.

Very wishy-washy.....................

We might set up an other forum - we might not. There 's a similar forum going - but we ain't telling you where it is. Go find it yourself.

Not exactly positive or helpful.

Personally, I am more than satisfied and grateful with David's confection and it does take time to get a "family" together, nine months if my memory serves me right

Were you trying to think of ' endorsement ' .... fair point but they could have easily added a get out clause.

At the end of the day an awful lot of P&O's newbies were helped on that Forum and it would have been a nice gesture to replay the contributions made by so many of us.

Posters come and go on all Forums as you would doubtless know, the discussion you refer to related to a number of Members who decided to leave us last January.
