From memory there have only been two members who have "left" this forum and I know their reasons. Everyone else is still a member.

So are now really talking about members who do not visit? If so then how long am I supposed to wait before contacting them? Then there is another option - those who are members, visit regularly but do not post - are they to be contacted to see why they do not post?

I just accept it as a fact of forum life that members come, some stay, some go, some come back - nothing to get worked up about.

MOB, is correct, people come and go for various reasons .. some valid, some silly ... they have absolutely no obligation to explain to the moderators or members of any forum why they make those decisions.

Of course there is no obligation to explain but if I was an owner, I would want as many members as possible and would be interested to know why people had left.
Oh, my mistake Mo, I just thought you were being a nosy parker.

Ha ha, yes you could say that, but honestly, if they'd left because there was something wrong, I'd want to know about it.

It's just forum life - it happens on all forums

Sometimes prolific posters literally disappear overnight

When you check their last posts, everything seems normal, and then you never hear from them again.

Perhaps they just want to have a break, or are enjoying the sun, or have just moved on.

Rabbit spam - now there's a thought. Should be a market for it somewhere.

It would be called Spabbit, seeing as Spam is a contraction of 'spiced ham'.

There is a poster on here that eats spam and tinned tomato sandwiches. I'd have him sectioned if he were related to me.

I can only give a clue so as not to humiliate him. He's a litlle bald fella from Huddersfield with a penchant for indecent exposure on cruise ship balconies and a reputaion for being as tight as a gnat's bottom.

Ok, I'll own up to most things.... but the Buddha reference is an insult too far.

Does anybody have contact with Frank Manning - a real gentleman who left the P&O forum just before it folded?
