It wan't too bad, mon ami.

The Lady C always plans well ahead, so Welshie's pressies would have been bought some time ago. We wanted to go to London to see the exhibition at the British Museum on Herculaneum and Pompei - our SIL bought the tickets as an anniversary present. As you probably know, we favour Premier Inn, so we stayed in their Slough hotel. It was so hot on Friday night that we could not sleep. The air con was too noisy to leave on all night and wouldn't go below 18c anyway. They operate a "good night's sleep" guarantee or your money back - we got a full refund. Mr Tesco paid for dinner at Café Rouge last night in Leicester Square, and we downloaded a walking tour which took us round the City of London yesterday.

All in all, a wonderful weekend

Never forget the day we visited Pompeii in Naples - it absolutely poured down plus thunder and lightening - still enjoyed it though and would definitely go back as want to see Hercalaneum or however it is spelt lol
