No, but you must admit the wooden acting, and rather less rigid sets, made it one of the best sit coms of its time. :moresarcasm:

Did you see the one where Benny was trying to book a room to romance Miss Diane? The receptionist said "do you want the bridal?" and he said "no, if she gives any trouble, I'll just 'ang on to 'er ears" !!

Ah ...

Tis time to confess that we did actually watch one soap but only for a little while ... BUT ... the reason was because we had a colour TV and the only colour program that we could receive at that time came from the Anglian Region when they transmitted Crossroads. East Midlands were all Black 'n' White.

I'm ever so sorry : hangs head in shame :

I'm with DK on this one.

Life - or at least the aspects of it portrayed in the soaps - is bad enough already, without inventing any more of it!!

Well, beautiful people, I will have to love you and leave you for a couple days while I scoot off down to Southampton for the weekend and a tour round MSC Opera tomorrow. I'll try to take some photos and upload a report next week.

Play nicely!

No murders in Corrie tonight, which was a big disappointment. I think the scriptwriters should be sacked, I was hoping that Karl would take out Beth, Craig, Faye, Owen, Sally, Stella, Eva and himself at the very least.

No more flower shows this year (not counting our flower arranging demos), so this will just have to do

By the way, I suppose we won't see much of you on 31st October. Not only will you be touring the area on your broomstick, but Pam Ayres is doing a live show at the Shanklin Theatre. Right up your street, I would have said

You worry me Cubie. I might go and see Nigel Farage and then post a review for Degsy. :D
