Anyway, Cubie, how did the veg harvesting go last night?

Very well, thanks, although it was nearly dark when we got home. A basket of tomatoes, more courgettes than we could carry, plenty of runner beans, potatoes and calabrese for dinner last night, some beetroot, a few pears, apples and plums and armfuls of flowers plus 4 or 5 cucumbers (although they are slowing down a lot now it is getting colder at night). If the weather forecast is right, I have Sunday earmarked for digging up the maincrop potatoes and I need to check on the butternuts and pumpkins. Looks like there will be dozens of the blighters this year.
