Weather has been very nice, sunny and warm for the time of year. Car thermometer was showing 19.

And yours?

not too bad, thanks. A couple of slow spots on the M4 and then a hold-up on the A437 where they're constructing a bypass round one of the villages.

Inlaws went to bed an hour ago, leaving the Lady C to do cross-stitch and me to kill time on the laptop before we retire

not really, she went to uni at Swansea and, after gradauting, she worked in one of Swansea's hospitals for 4 years, picking up a little bit of a Welsh lilt. Now she's back in Bradley Stoke and working in a central Bristol hospital (just down the road from my office, so we let her park there for free)

I believe you are off on Oceana in a year or so. We have nothing booked at present, but if we do go anywhere next year, it will most likely be Norway and/or Iceland. But then if a last minute 'cheapie' comes up, and I can get the time off, who knows........

yep, a farewell cruise on our beloved Oceana, down to the Canaries, in October.

The fjords were spectacular, but I didn't get the most out of it because I can't do heights (strange as I have no problem flying!)

You don't have to go and sit on Pulpit Rock, you know. Actually, I think we came across more precipitous drops in Madeira than we have done in Norway: at least the ones we were looking down rather than up!

I'm relieved to hear it. Did you get any new lines while in Paris, and what about those exploding trousers you were going to Hartlepool for?

I got them Notso, they lasted 3 days then they exploded. I picked up a job lot of little monkeys. When you poke their tummies they wave a little white flag and stick a little plastic wedge of brie in their gobs. I think they'll be a best seller :D

Hartlepool ... reminds me,

Did you know that in Hartlepool you can get a 6 bedroom Victorian detached property for £250,000 ?

In parts of London that buys a one bedroom Studio flat.

ps ... and in Hull it buys a 5 bedroom detached house overlooking a golf course.

Fascinating eh :wtf:

And in Bradley Stoke, it will get you a 4-bed detached, close to a golf course and, more importantly, me as a close neighbour with a good pub nearby where you can buy me a drink or three...  :lolno:
