on the septic isle du francais, a chicken is revered as a god , it is the only decent bit of food on the place and is fought over regularly, they are also a status symbol amongst the cheese monkeys and to have a live bird ,marks them out as a cut above the dregs of society and just below the peasants and serfs

I don't know what you mean, I have a wonderful tux, i wear on formal nights and several suits I take with me when cruising, always dressed up me

no my tux is not some Primark or M&S cheap nylon job, it fits pefectly ,as do my dress shirts, which are from Jermyn street in London, oh yes they are
You see, silly people make silly assumptions and then schlep up wearing a DJ two sizes too small and 20 years out of date...bloody peasants

I do every night on a ship - even wearing either a jacket or waistcoat and bow tie on casual nights. I get a few funny looks though !

I s'pose you would say scruffy, by and large. To be fair we don't eat out much at home, Mrs C is veggie and she says most of the food she gets out is crap and lacking any imagination at all

i wear a suit/shirt/tie everyday for work, so like to wear jeans when I go out or just slob about in jogging bottoms and a tee shirt, at the weekend if we are not doing owt

Just the opposite for me - I don't need to get ponced up for work so I go a bit overboard on holiday !

I adhere to the formal night dress code, unless we are too tired to bother, then we use the buffet and wear a suit and shirt on the semi foraml/smart casual nights but no tie and I never take jeans on holiday
