Notso - Adge Cutler (the wurzels) was born in Portishead - which is in Bristol. As Shiney says - bristol used to be in Somerset - confusing isnt it. Bristol is now in Bristol which is even more confusing as you live in the city and county of Bristol!!
I - apparently was born in Gloucestershire - so am actually not Bristolian but my husband was born in Bristol although we only lived a couple of miles apart.

I think that's why the other Bristolian nickname is 'Ciderheads'.

Near, yes: - but it's stretching it a bit to say it's in Bristol. It's at the North end of that little railway with the interesting initials, the Weston, Clevedon & Portishead.

To go by train from Weston Super Mare to Portishead, you had to get on the W.C. & P. (!)
