I got on the scales again this morning and was quite relieved to have no increase from yesterday's indulgence. Rotary Club ladies night tomorrow and a three course meal, we may find some damage on Wednesday morning. I know they suggest we shouldn't, but Sue and I find that a daily weigh in keeps us motivated. Really wish the weather would improve so that our favourite walks were a bit less muddy.
Don't get complacent Frank, the weight doesn't go on straight away. Next week you'll probably find you've put weight on. ;) I'm going to weigh myself today but I think it will be wooden spoon time again.
We had a lovely day yesterday, but the rain is back today. :(

A mixed bag of weigh-ins last week with some managing to lose a lb or two with some not managing to lose anything at all ...moving on quickly this brings me to last week’s slimmer of the week award and winner of the coveted celery stick ....A gigantic well done to Alan ake (Mr Shiny) who managed to shed a staggering 5lbs last week.
Now that’s the way to do it...

:clap:Congratulations

Are you sure it was lbs or £'s.

If it was lbs, just don't present him with the celery stick personally..........he'll probably take your arm off :D

I can't help but notice, that the instigator of this thread is putting in a rather woeful performance
should said porkster not be leading from the front in his quest to fit into a size 28 by summer?

congrats to all of you who are trying and a slapped wrist to Keefy for not setting a better example  :D

Hello incher's,

Weigh in today I lost one lb. pleased with that as I had a curry and a few beers on Saturday night, first one this year.

I have also signed up to do The OX5 which is a 5 mile run around Blenhiem Palace. Not done any training yet. It's for the Children's hospital at the John Radcliffe in Oxford. My granddaughter spent the 1st couple of months of her life there and my son and I want to give something back. All the staff there do a fantastic job...even looking after me when I stayed overnight at the weekends. As a family we made sure that she was never there on her own.

Well done all those who have lost this week especially Mr Shiney great effort.

Hi pinchers,

Hoping this post finds you all well and doing well with your diets? I've been a little preocupied this past couple of weeks hence the reason l've not been posting as much as l would have liked.

I've had a very frustrating couple of weeks as by now l was hoping by now to be in a position where l could tell you all that l've achieved that elusive 1 stone weight loss. Alas l don't think this weekends weigh-in will bring me any nearer to that goal as l've still got 2 lbs to go. I know l shouldn't beat myself up about it because 12 lbs weight loss is still something to be proud of but with 16 lbs still to go l think some form of bodily amputation may be required if l'm ever going to achive my target weight of 11 stone 10 lbs.

Remember pinchers..."over eat, bye bye to feet"

Stay strong pinchers

Regards

Keith

Take no notice of those two Keefy you are doing just fine

We would all like to lose 2-3lbs a week or even more but it doesn't work like that however hard we try :(

We are still in February and have loads of time to reach our 'target weights' as they say ....... Rome wasn't built in a day !!!

Hi DQ

Keefy 7 bellies needs constant "tough love" motivation and Stephen and my self are here to ensure he doesn't go back to his old ways , when he was arrested for stealing food off morbidly obese schoolchildren by mugging them in the playground, while dressed in a just William costume, we felt we had to step in and stage an intervention
it's for his own good and he knows it

Keith - you have no reason to get down. 12lbs is an excellent loss and, more importantly, you have motivated the rest of us to lose weight and I, for one, am thankful for that as I was steadily letting my weight drift back up. So many thanks from me.

At the weekly weigh-in, I clocked in at 11st 12lb 4oz, which actually isn't bad considering that I was at my mum's last weekend, and she doesn't do healthy eating, at a social on Tuesday where there were loads of crisps and sausage rolls, and I haven't done much walking. I had a sneak weigh on Wednesday morning and had actually put back on everything I'd lost the previous week and more  , so to end the week a pound down on last week is something I'm happy with.

I expected to have put a few pounds back on because it has been a real 'who ate all the pies week' as I thought it was about time to use up some of the food in the freezer which I have tended to avoid during the last few weeks. Luckily, I have only put on a few ounces and I think that is due to being able to get out of the house more for a walk during the drier weather.

I am happy with my weigh in today. Hope everyone else is happy with theirs.

Maureen.

11/2lbs for me, I would have liked it to be more but do have to admit to having a glass of Vino most nights this week so I shouldn't be surprised

Thanks Maureen and well done to you too, I've reached my first target which is the weight I can live with but I would love to lose about another 12lbs just because I would like to be thinner than I am so I will carry on but won't worry too much about having the odd glass of wine mid week

I note 'the men' are very quiet today

Hi Jo,

I'm just hoping that a friend will be kind enough to tell me when I have gone too far as I think it can start to show in the face once you over do it.

Not quite sure how brave my friends are.

Good morning Pinchers,

Round of applause please  ...Keefy has lost 1 stone... yes 14 lbs since the start of the onelife pinch-an-inch diet which as you can imagine makes me one happy chappie :D ... It was with great trepidation that I invited my wife and daughter into the bathroom this morning for what I was hoping would be a momentous occasion. As I approached the scales, my daughter could hardly open her eyes... well I was stood there in my underpants, nevertheless her blushes quickly turned to whoops of joy as my wife announced that I’d lost that elusive stone.

Well it’s onwards and downwards in my attempt to lose another stone which should see me reaching my target weight of 11 stone 10 lbs, and yes I will do this because I can’t tell you how much better I’m feeling since having lost this amount of weight ...well you would, wouldn’t you, if you were carrying the equivalent of seven 2lb bags of sugar around your waist?.

What I do know is that this dieting lark isn’t easy but would be a whole lot harder if we were trying to do this alone, so it is with a great big thankyou to all the other pinchers and of course Vapour puffer and he who is follicly challenged (Stephen) that we are moving forward together in an attempt to reach our personal goals.

Stay strong pinchers

And remember ... " think of rakes not Hattie Jacques"

Regards

Keith

Congratulations Keefy and Maureen. Well I must have taken notice of my pep talk last week as I have lost a further 4lb this week making a total of 1st 1/2lb since I joined your club on 20th January. I do have the added advantage that I probably have at another 5 or 6 stone to go

I'm sure you will get there in the end, Susan. Once you start to see and feel a difference it helps motivate you.

Good luck
