Well done everyone and especially Keefy on being half way there

I agree it does help to do it with others, it certainly motivates me because I think OMG I daren't weigh in and have put a pound or two on it's bad enough when you stay the same as last week

[quote="Onelife"]Good morning Pinchers,

Round of applause please  ...Keefy has lost 1 stone... yes 14 lbs since the start of the onelife pinch-an-inch diet which as you can imagine makes me one happy chappie :D ... It was with great trepidation that I invited my wife and daughter into the bathroom this morning for what I was hoping would be a momentous occasion. As I approached the scales, my daughter could hardly open her eyes... well I was stood there in my underpants, nevertheless her blushes quickly turned to whoops of joy as my wife announced that I’d lost that elusive stone.

Well it’s onwards and downwards in my attempt to lose another stone which should see me reaching my target weight of 11 stone 10 lbs, and yes I will do this because I can’t tell you how much better I’m feeling since having lost this amount of weight ...well you would, wouldn’t you, if you were carrying the equivalent of seven 2lb bags of sugar around your waist?.

What I do know is that this dieting lark isn’t easy but would be a whole lot harder if we were trying to do this alone, so it is with a great big thankyou to all the other pinchers and of course Vapour puffer and he who is follicly challenged (Stephen) that we are moving forward together in an attempt to reach our personal goals.

Stay strong pinchers

And remember ... " think of rakes not Hattie Jacques"

Regards

Keith

We've only your word for it. I think someone, mention no names has been tampering with the public weigh bridge.

The question you've got to ask yourself is 'do you feel lucky! well, do ya, punk'.

No, that's not it.

The question is, can you keep it off, or was it a lucky moment with the weigh bridge :!:

Knowing your track record you'll be back to bloater mode this time next week.

Prove me wrong, I dare yer

Cruel to be kind.

Hi Susan,

Thanks for your good wishes and well done yourself for achiving such a terrific weight loss this week... if you keep this up l may not recognise you when we next meet up in May. I'll try a pick a restaurant that doesn't have celery on the menue cus the way you are going you'll be sick of the stuff come May. Nevertheless, well done on becoming this weeks slimmer of the week and recipient of the coveted celery stick award.

 Congratulations

Stephen,

You're not going to believe this but when l stepped onto the scales this morning (third attempt) the reading displayed the Lo sign which l can only presume is a sign of things to come.

You're right, I'm not going to believe it. When you say the 'Lo' sign, was that after a bit of manipulation to the letter 'H' with a small paint brush ;)

But until I see the weigh bridge calibration certificate I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and say "WELL DONE KEEFY"

Hi Pinchers,

I've only just realised it will be two months come Monday that the Onelife pinch-an-inch diet was launched. It goes without saying what a phenomenal success it has been with many of the members having lost considrable amounts of weight during this time. Not wishing to set the scales to high l thought it would be great if we could celebrate this special anniversary by all trying to lose at least 1 lb by this Sunday's weigh-in. As an incentive l have decided to give every looser a special treat of a Spar treatment of your choosing.....only one coupon per looser whch will be redeemable at any of the 12,000 Spar's up and down the country

Remember pinchers..." With chocolate fudge the weight won't budge"

Well done, Alan. I keep on at my husband to try to lose weight in the hope it will improve his blood pressure. What with his age and heart condition, it often seems to be the fact that he is also on blood pressure tablets that makes our travel insurance a) difficult to get and b) expensive.

Good morning pinchers,

Hope you've all had a good week and you've managed to lose a lb or two?

Due to cercumstances beyond my control (two birthday parties to attend this evening) l thought it best that l weigh in today as l don't think l'll be in a fit state to do so tomorrow. Jumping onto the scales this morning l weighed in at 12 stone 9 lbs which means l've lost 1 lb this week although l think it may well be closer to two lbs but havn't included ounces.

I don't know if other pinchers are experiencing the same thing as me but l've noticed that since losing my first stone things have got far more difficult trying to shed thoses extra lbs, even though l'm as near as dam it sticking to the same diet plan l've been doing this past 2 months...it may be that l've been less active this past week due to my back giving me some jib but putting that aside l do think it gets harder to lose weight once you've reached a certain level in your diet plan....not sure if this is true but it seems that way to me.

Stay strong pinchers

Remember...."crisps and nuts create bigger butts"

Regards

I'm up eight ounces on last week and have to count myself lucky that is all as I have eaten a lot of rubbish this week  but I loved it especially the huge banana split when we went out for a meal with friends. I made things worse the next day by eating a large packet of chocolate covered M&Ms so serves me right.

I think Keith is right - you hit a certain weight and either your weight hits a plateau or you start losing your motivation all together. This is where we all need the group encouragement to keep going. Unfortunately we are going to a christening party later today so more temptation.

Hope everyone else does better than me this week.

Maureen.

I've stayed the same this week. No weight loss even though eating similar diet. I think your metabolism gets used to eating less and that's why it gets more difficult to lose the weight. Well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

I've stayed the same this week too but with a very good reason ( well I think so  ) I deliberately had a week off dieting and have eaten and drunk pretty much what I wanted all week ..

I will be back with the 'pinchers' from tomorrow but I do think dieting can take over, I certainly haven't lost my motivation in fact if anything after a week of 'normal eating' I'm quite happy to deny myself a few things now for the next few weeks then I will take another week off

Hello all,
I've put on 2lb over the last 2 weeks. I was on holiday from work last week so did pig out a bit.

Also went to Brighton for a long weekend and took OH to Choccywoccydodah. This is a chocolate shop and also a cafe so we did try a few chocolate treats. Oink oink.

Always next week

Hello RB - Sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed your time off work. Isn't it amazing how easy it is to put 2lbs on in 2 weeks but it usually takes twice as long as that to get it off.
