Had a lovely 3 course lunch and a bottle of wine shared with a friend at the new Jamie Oliver restaurant in Newcastle. Glad I came of the diet:-)

I'm ashamed to say that I am heading upwards again, now 146 lbs. Got to get a grip. Well done to Alan even though the loss was due to a rather unpleasant method.

Jo - my downfall last night was 2 glasses of wine and some liquorice allsorts and wine gums. You obviously weren't quite so greedy as me.

Hi pinchers,

Just got back from a short break in them yonder hill of Wales. I did take a note of my weight before departure which came in at 12 stone 7lbs so you'll have to wait untill tomorrow morning to see what damage l've inflicted on myself.

I see Alan has scooped the slimmer of the week award "again" this week even if it was partly due to reflux problems.....nevertheless well done Alan a fine effort.

I shall be having a conserted effort next week and invite some of you to join me because it would seem some of you are allowing your appertites to get the better of you.

Hey Scruffypants  ...l may well be "useless" but l ain't lacking in willpower.... 17 lbs loss at my last weigh in....ho ho ho

You need to be much stronger pinchers.

Regards

Keith

Good morning pinchers

I'm struggling to tap theses words out as they are causing me considrable distress....l've gained 3 lbs since Fridays weigh in and feel disdusted with myself...although l did enjoy my Korma curry,....4 bacon babs....ham egg and chips and two packets of sea salt crisps whilst l was away.

I will however endevour to lose what l have gained this past few days and a bit more by Sunday's weigh in.

Remember...."a step to take is to eat less cake"

Must stay stronger pinchers

Regards

Keith

Hi Onelife (Keith),
I can sympathise. For one day I touched the dreaded 210lbs, but luckily the recent good weather coupled with booking another cruise has given me an incentive and we are on the downwards trend again. If I am going to strut my stuff in my speedos I have to get the man boobs reduced   .

I hasten to say that in reality Sue never lets me wear speedos these days. But hey can't a fellow dream in his dotage?

Watch this space; I have 14 weeks in which to get down to 196lbs. That is nearly a pound a week. no more home made cakes! :(

Hi Frank,

I know all about man boobs, indeed l live under constant threat that photos of mine might find there way onto this furom. I'm just trying to keep Robbie (AOTH) sweet untill he's ready to hand them over.

It would seem that we are both in the same boat as far as the amount of weight we are hoping to lose over the coming weeks....give or take a couple of lbs. So its onwards and downwards from this point on...Ok

DQ, How is the home alone diet going. My Sister's tip for being good with mini chocolate creme eggs is lick the chocolate off one day and eat the creamy bit the next.

I trust you have a healthy celebration meal planned for the return of the wanderer. Obviously wine will be needed as a back up.

Maureen, How can liquorice be bad for you, it's a myth considering it keeps you healthy.

I have been making flapjack today for a sports relief fun day at the Granddaughters school , unfortunately it has almost disappeared so I must make some more tomorrow. If may be high in calories but the oats are good for you.

Oh don't ask Andrea I'm just eating whatever is convenient and takes about ten minutes to make.

I shall eat very sensibly tomorrow night as I'm out for a meal with a friend AND I shan't be drinking as I will be driving

Andrea - if I'm honest it is not just the wine gums and allsorts that have been my downfall this week. I think the biggest problem has been the Wensleydale and Apricot cheese which I have been working my way through all week. It is absolutely gorgeous. There is no way I dare buy any more or I will just eat and eat it.

Why are all the nicest things so fattening.

Quite possible that I will Andrea, fingers crossed  I suppose because I'm not usually a 'nibbler' when I am it tends to be nibbling all the wrong things.

Maureen did you have to mention the Wensleydale with apricots, I love it too and also the one with blueberries

Is this the slim line DK who went from a 34 inch to a snug 36 inch waist within a couple of weeks giving us 'encouragement'.

Maureen, (one of the lardy bums)
