11st 9lb 2oz - down just two ounces on the week :(

Mind you, even though I've been walking much more this week, due to the bike being off the road, I've not been too careful about what I've been eating.

Pleased to say I am down to 143lbs 6oz - can't remember the last time I saw that on the scales. That's a couple of pounds down this week. I think Jo is right that a little relaxation of the diet for a short time doesn't hurt and, in fact, helps the body back to losing weight once you eat carefully again.

I think, also, we have been out in the garden more this week plus walking into town regularly.

Alan - at least going down a couple of ounces is going in the right direction.

Good morning pinchers,

Hope you've all had a good week and the scales have been kind to you?

After last weekends over indulgence l was determined to lose what l had put on so have been very good this week although l did have a minor lapse last night when my wife returned home from Tesco's with a packet of chocolate fingger biscuits. Well lm pleased to say lve lost the three pounds l put on last week weighing in at 12.stone 7 lbs.

Well done Maureen   l think your two lb weight loss is one of the biggest since you started the pinch-an-inch diet. Like you l've been very busy in the garden this week which helps burn off thoses extra treats.

Well done Alan. Still tipping the scales in the right direction

Remember..."lnstant whip will sink the ship"

Stay strong pinchers

Well done to everyone

As expected I have lost absolutely 'zilch' although on the plus side when I stepped on the scales mid week I had put a couple of pounds on and that has gone so a result as such

I expect to do much better this week now the fridge is restocked with only sensible food !!!

Maureen, there was an interesting article in yesterdays Mail that said dieters had much more success with 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off, it obviously takes much longer to lose weight but as you say a little relaxation while continuing to eat sensibly helps the body back to losing weight, this makes sense to me as there are only so many things you can cut down on, we all need that bar of chocolate occasionally or even a packet of 'chockie fingers' naughty, naughty Keefy I hope you had just the one ( and I don't mean one packet  )

Hi Jo,

Considering you've been dinning alone this week l think you've done remarkably well having not tipped the scales either way  I always find it difficult not over indulging when my wife and daughter up sticks for one of their folk festivals away. I genrally do most of the cooking so when there is only me to cater for l normally opt for a 800 calorie tesco's curry which helps me fend off thoses "home alone" missing you pains :(

Btw...no, l didn't have the whole packet of chocolate finngers to myself as we have a pecking order in this houshould....l got 4 out of the packet of 24 ...squeak squeak!

Regards

ey up weigh bridge worriers

the total combined weight loss of this group is the equivalent of a bag of crisps
I sense a lack of commitment on some folks parts

Keefy, you need to be more in command and lead by example, not stuffing your gob with biskwits

Hi DarkestOne,

Up until three months ago most of us pinchers thought a "balanced diet" consisted of a packet of digestives biscuits (one in each hand)

I don't understand why you are questioning my leadership qualities as all of my pinchers know they can contact me 24/7 vie my personal number should they require any motivational chats. I had thought about extending this facility to you and Stephen but decided it wouldn't be worth all the hassle, what with your constant referals to my "now well proportioned lardy ar*e" and then having to listen to Stephens heavy breathing messages. Nope, you two will just have to use your normal channels of communiction for the foreseeable future

So where do you sit on the world fat scale?

My BMl presently stands at 24.

This, according to the chart means l have a lower BMI than 82% of males aged 60 - 69 nationally and a lower BMI than 52% of males aged 60 - 69 in the world .

Unfurtunatly most of my weight is centerd around my waist which as you know is the worst possible place to be carrying those extra pounds so l still a few inches to go before l'll be happy to expose myself again

Hello,

Well I don't know how but I lost one lb this week.
Had a massive mixed grill followed by a chocolate indulgence sundae at the weekend...looks like that's the way to do it..
