In the 1970's one of my customers was British Sugar Corpration, and woe betide you if you were seen not to take sugar in your tea when visiting Cantley, or Bury st Edmunds' factories.Stephen wrote:I cut out sugar years ago. I tried cutting down from two to one spoon of sugar, then thought if I'm cutting down to one I might as well cut it out altogether. As you say DQ, you soon get use to it.
I just eat the biscwuits and cakes now![]()
I use to know someone who had at least five sugars in his tea/coffee. Don't know if he's still alive. But I bet Tate & Lyle would be keen to get their hands on him for recycling if he's no longer with us.

I'm afraid that I have had a weakness for cakes and bicuits for most of my life, and I wonder if my addiction to McVities plain choc digestives should be a notifiable disease, with NHS treatments available. Staying off them has been very painful when I have been trying to lose weight.

Keith, I feel your pain at having to eat those quarter pounders - how upsetting for you.Onelife wrote:Hi pinchers,
Sorry but l can't weigh in tomorrow....my wife force feed me two quarter pounders tonight and l feel totaly let down by this selfish act of sabatage.

Keith....honestly, I have been a real FAT fatty for nigh on 25 years, yoyo dieted many many times.Onelife wrote:Hi Suespud,
I've been trying to think of an achievement award that expresses the effort that must have gone into losing that amount of weight. There's no point in sending you a "crate" of celery sticks as they have a very short shelf life so l've decided to send you all the monies donated to the onelife cruise appeal as an alternative.. do you need a tissue? Well you'll need one when you receive it![]()
Sue.....l can't think of a better incentive than giving yourself the best chance possible of many more happy years with your grandchildren.
Well done you :clap
