I did not know, until I watched the weather forecast this lunchtime, that a blue moon is a second full moon in the same month. Which is obviously infrequent, hence "once in a blue moon".

Tonight is a super blue moon. Very rare apparently.The next one is in 2037. Just said so on the news.

Saw it here. It looked just the same as any other full moon.
I reckon it was wasted on me.

It was visible here, but it certainly did not look as big as the last super moon I saw, maybe because there was a bit of haze and the moon looked over bright.

Last nights rare occurrence left me feeling like the cow that didn't jump over the moon…nothing spectacular in this area, although I think full moons tend to appear bigger when they sit low in the sky.
