Invitation to join Temporary P&O Community

Unread post by CaroleF »

Has anyone else had an invitation to join a temporary P&O online Community? I had an email today asking me to apply to join, which I did. However, I'm obviously not the category that P&O want in their Community. I would guess it's my age that set off alarms. I could, I suppose, have put a fictitious date in but I put my actual age, late 70s. Once I had filled in my details, where I lived, date of birth, employment details I was then shown a page which started, 'Oh No!' I was informed they were very sorry but I did not fit into the category in which they were interested. Maybe I should have put the details of someone I could easily guess was the sort of person in whom they were interested! It does state the Community will only be in existence for something like 6 weeks, I think it said. Has anyone else managed to be accepted into this, obviously exclusive group?

I've not even been invited. I guess they want tattoo'd 40 somethings who are going to buy the drinks package and wear a string vest to dinner. :-)

Hope you didn’t mention my name. My string vest is still at the cleaners and I might miss the photo shoot.

I can't see the point of only asking people who fit the category you want on the cruise ship, maybe they only want to be told that what they are doing is what the people want, well maybe it is.

Hi Carole, it looks like these research invitations have been doing the rounds for years…in one form or another…
