Sports facilities

Unread post by Gooseno8 »

Can anyone please help me with finding out what sports facilities there are in board... I know there is a gym. If anyone knows the size of the pools and is it possible to do a proper lane swim? Also are there any racquet sports on board?

Any help would be appreciated
TIA

The only thing every ship has in common is that the pools are really tiny, so no proper swimming.
They are more for taking a dip.
All have a gym and most have an outdoor area but don’t expect too much.
It is after all a moving ship.

Lane Swimming? You must be Quackers Goose ;) :) …It’s been a long time since we last cruised but even then, (depending on the Ship) there was an open-air sports court, golf nets/simulator, table tennis (normally just one table) and of course the gym…clubs, rackets, balls all supplied.

Two table tennis tables on Aurora (last time we were on.) & 3 on Ventura.
Don’t forget quoits & shuffle board.
Deck tennis (the proper sort) has disappeared since the departure of Lord Sterling.

Gooseo8, there are sport facilities on Ventura and Azura. The swimming pools are big enough to get reasonable lengths in for a workout, just to name two ships.
Other than school holidays pools should be O K.
I prefer just the pools and watch the rest from a sun lounger.
Don't worry, be happy
