Happy Holidays from Paul Ludlow
And just like that, 2024 is nearly over!
It’s been an extraordinary year for P&O Cruises with so much to be proud of, from our new partnerships with The Pride of Britain Awards and Southampton FC to our second year of sponsoring the BAFTA TV Awards, plus the stunning refit of Arcadia, to name a few.
As we look forward to 2025, don’t miss our new TV ad launching on Christmas Day, showing you a holiday like never before in the Norwegian fjords. There’s truly so much more to cruising than meets the eye.
Wishing you and your loved ones a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year!

Just a shame that the passengers don't get the same level of attention.Official Autopost wrote: 13 Dec 2024, 06:47It’s been an extraordinary year for P&O Cruises with so much to be proud of, from our new partnerships with The Pride of Britain Awards and Southampton FC to our second year of sponsoring the BAFTA TV Awards

Clearly Paul Ludlow must have his head in the sand. If he read FB, this forum, or any other cruising forum or social media platform, then he would either be hiding away or apologising profusely to all passengers about the poor performance of his cruise line.

must agree paul ludlow is dreaming if he thinks all is well at p&o the new rules about chairs to get you off the ships and there only being about 6 on the boats is redicoulous there are five couples in our street who will not sail with p&o any more over this plus the amount of food poisening outbreaks on the ships which I myself suffered from its a wonder any one still considers p&o a suitable cruise line to sail with

The offering has been cut to such an extent to save a few pounds that it bears little relationship to that of years ago. They now promote themselves as a family friendly line which we have experienced for ourselves. Needless to say it wasn't to our taste. It almost feels they are happy to ditch older cruisers in favour of a younger, more dynamic clientele.
Our next two cruises are not with P&O. We have upped sticks and moved custom to Ambassador who seem to cater for those looking for a more traditional cruising experience.

It all seemed to go downhill after Carol Marlow left.

P&O are clearly aiming for a different market to what was their traditional customer.
Given that they generally sail at 100% capacity, they are probably getting it right.
The policy is obviously sell cheap and then upsell.
The PR disaster of the Maleth debacle has been either ignored or swept under the carpet.
I had an email yesterday giving 50% off Virgin Voyages.
Not my cup of tea and certainly not tempted but it shows that the competition is struggling to fill ships.

From the reports on here I could be tempted to try Ambassador, but since we need an adapted cabin and prefer a balcony, I think I will have to suffer P&O, until Ambassador invest in a 21st century cruise ship.oldbluefox wrote: 13 Dec 2024, 18:33The offering has been cut to such an extent to save a few pounds that it bears little relationship to that of years ago. Completely agree Foxy which is why we tried Saga and loved it, and are also doing a second Celebrity cruise. More expensive yes, but once you’ve tried it you won’t give P&O a second thought.
