singing teachers or other musicians - help!
not sure if it was this forum or the old P&O one..
On a forum there was a singing teacher who cruised.
I am looking for a particular song to be sung at our Golden Wedding do later this year and can't find the english version which I was taught at singing lessons way back in the mists of time.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAGLjACv2tE
I can't find the English version - only a translation which doesn't fit the music and is gloomy. I am sure the version we used came from a compilation book, but have no idea what it was.
The English version was something like:
The ring upon my finger here is a circle of shining gold.
and it speaks to my heart in simplicity
of the promise of happiness that life can hold
that takes us to about half way...
I am asking everyone I can think of who might have the slightest idea if they might have an english version - otherwise I might have to produce a vague translation to fit the music
