Feedback questionnaire

Unread post by Whynd1 »

Just returned from a short 4 night P and O cruise and noticed that we did not have the feedback questionnaire this time - I just thought that perhaps they did not ask for your comments on a short cruise, however last night I received an e mail from P and O asking me to complete an o line questionnaire which I have duly done. Is this going to be a regular thing from now on I wonder ?

Someone else (sorry cannot remember who it was) posted a similar observation a week or so ago and they said that it was a pilot study doing this way.

I can see the advantage in that the data can be processed quicker - and cheaper. The downside is how many will actually do it, bearing in mind that not all passengers have access to a computer/email

We had one after our recent short cruise but although it gives you more time to think it also gives you a short time to do it ... too short in our own case so we didn't complete it even though we had intended to.

I would prefer this to filling them out on the ship. I could take my time and really think about what I wanted to say.

Wasn't there something following the introduction of auto-tipping that tips were dependant on feedback questionnaire "scores"?

I quite welcome moving to an electronic feedback questionnaire, but I wonder whether fewer people will bother completing them, and this possibly adversely affecting tips for hardworking staff?

And of course there a people like my dear old mum who doesn't even have e-mail.

So how will this fit in with Tipping and how the waiters/cabin stewards get their tips, will they have to wait even longer.

According to a crew member it has nothing to do with tips but is related to additional bonuses.

Now.......if P&O where to have smart interactive televisions with keyboards they could request the information on the penultimate day of the cruise.
As an inducement they could knock 2% of on board accounts (not forgetting to increase costs by 2% on introducing the scheme) for all those who completed the questionnaire.

Not according to what I have heard. My previous suspicions have yet again been confirmed.
