Cruise N619

#1

Post by MariaG »

Hi

We're going on the Ventura in July and I wanted to get any information on what you can do independently on any of the ports we are visiting, these include Palma, Zante, Athens, Santorini, Mykonos, Katakolon & Gibralter.

Also we're travelling with our grandson who is 12 years old and wondered how to enrol him in the children's club? We've never needed this before as usually we go with our friends, but this time with our grandson! I've been told that the children enjoy the clubs?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

The only one of those that I've done (too many times to mention) is Gibraltar

It's very walkable and there are lots of options for various trips.

As you walk out of the gate, there are dozens of taxis offering pretty much anything you fancy.

Just do a bit of research before you go.

As for the kids club. Sorry ! We've never took a child.
Empty vessels .. and all that

Hi Peter...fantastic job in putting that together....well done Sir!

Maria.....its been quite a long time since our daughter joined one of the kids clubs but from memory you just pop along to the age specific club where upon your grandson's guardian will be required to fill in a few details medical etc. All the information about signing in times will be in the daily rag.

We are doing these ports on Azura in April and are planning to DIY at all the destinations. I have done a bit of research on line and we are planning to take the metro from Piraeus to Athens. Katakolon we are hoping to go either by train or bus to Olympia. Santorini we are hoping to get to Oia. The other ports we will just be wandering around.

I will let you know how we get on.

Hi Screwy, Barney, Peter D, Onelife & Michelle W.

Thanks to all of you for posting your idea's.

Onelife - I'll definitely look in the daily rag for the details of where to enrol my grandson in the kids club! Easy when you know!
Michelle W - I'd be interested to see what you say when you've been in April if you find the time.
Peter D - Wow!! I shall be taking a good look at your information and certainly taking advice on some of your tips. Well done you!

Happy cruising wherever you may go next!

Thanks again MariaG
