Amber Cove Dominican Republic
Can anyone suggest a nearby activity or beach when you disembark or would you need to book something

Check out the reviews on the attached link, it depends what you want but the resort area itself is probably worth considering.

Little Ronnie , just an idea, a 20/30 minute stroll
If you walk up to the main gate to the coast road, turn left and continue about 2/3 hundred yards and take the next left turn, you will head down towards the sea again. On your right will be a holiday complex and to your left is a swamp where you can see a variety of colourful birds , continue on round to the left and you will find bars and shops. a nice bar to stop in is overlooking the swamp which we call the 'beer in a bag bar' it's just that you get an ice cold bottle of beer in a bag to stop your hands getting wet with the condensation. there is a small beach and good views to be had by walking up the steps to the holiday complex. We did this for the morning then enjoyed the afternoon back in Amber cove.
What ever you do , have a really good time in the Carib.
