Is anyone else having problems staying opted in on P&O site? I received an email asking me to update my preferences but when I try to log in it says my log in details are wrong, (which they aren't).
I tried the I have forgotten my password option, which asks me for my email address but when I enter it I get a message saying my email address isn't registered. This is the same email address they have used asking me to update my details!

I re-registered, but even then they refused to recognise my postcode or my urn. I did mine over the phone in the end.

But only I have heard from them - what about the rest of the family? They have to give permission individually since they are all adults- The silence from P&O FB has been deafening

I re-registered myself plus Mobietta without any difficulty … I do not wish to hear from P&O but we did wish to retain our Loyalty points … it is for this reason alone that taking the trouble is worth the effort, not to do so will result in the deletion of ones Loyalty Points later in the year.

Like you Moby I was prompted by an earlier version of this message to update both our records, I did retain post and e-mail information from P&O on my account, just in case switching it off totally stopped them sending me the extremely expensive presents they dish out now we are Caribbean members. :sarcasm:

I registered online, no more and no less.

Once for me with my chosen e-mail and when that was complete and a Thank You etc was received I did another register for Mobietta but this time using her e-mail id. No phone calls were required.

Note that it will not complete properly unless all the fields are complete and the Portunus / Peninsular Number is spot on for all individuals being registered.

After completing it I recall getting an activation e-mail from P&O, after that I logged off then on again and lo and behold all our cruises and points etc were correctly displayed.

I think it must be Carnival in general as I've had problems with our Cunard accounts ( I haven't even tried P&O yet !! ) all was fine until I attempted to insert phone numbers into my personal details and it wouldn't accept either a landline or mobile number so when I tried to update the preferences without a phone number I can't request contact by phone ( done because Cunard can be very generous with their upgrades and in the past I have been contacted by phone so I wouldn't want to miss out ) in the end I contacted the World Club department as they always seem far more helpful and yesterday I got a reply apologising for the problems and stating they would be more than happy to do it for me if I contacted them either by email or phone with the details, hopefully it is now done but it's about time Carnival got a reliable system !!

Despite already updating both our accounts and requesting that we remain loyalty club members over a week ago, we have still received letters in today's post asking the same questions.
If their IT systems were interactive it could have saved them a fortune in postage fees.

Did you insert spaces or enter an uninterrupted string of numbers … such forms prefer the latter is my experience  .

I feel somewhat deprived about this. :(

I have only received one email about a month ago asking me to login to my account and confirm my details. This I did without any problems and I have heard nothing else since

I've done P&O and also Cunard and Princess. Both of the latter also asked if I was happy to receive info from other Carnival companies.

I also emailed P&O about the considerable difficulty I had doing it online. No reply.

Separately I emailed Paul Ludlow about the auto tip shambles. No reply.

As an aside in the Data Protection thing I've had emails from a number of other companies that periodically send me stuff.

I haven't heard from a number who send me junk emails. But will they stop sending junk? I doubt it.

What's the point of this whole DP exercise if it only makes it more difficult for companies I do want to hear from contacting me but doesn't stop the cowboys misusing my data? When can I expect the latter to be prosecuted? Maybe around the same time P&O answer my emails?

my wife and I have both tried logging in to our accounts both failed so phoned up p&o and was told to register again only problem with that is it will not let us, when we try my wifes just says email already in use and mine takes the email address and password but will not open so have sent p&o an email which they answered by saying they will answer me in 28 days, I did this because I had already spent 45 mins waiting on the phone without getting an answer does not give you any confidence in p&o it dept. :?

I tried that too John but it just told me the email address was already 'in use' anyway it's hopefully sorted now and at some point I will tackle my P&O account.
