Accommodation Announced

#1

Post by david63 »

Iona's accommodation has been announced today - https://www.pocruises.com/cruise-ships/iona/

One new feature being the "Conservatory Mini-suite cabin" - sounds an interesting idea but not sure how practical it will be.

(Interesting turn of phrase "mini-suite cabin". I thought that they were called staterooms now - if they were not suites!!)

Certainly sounds interesting. I wonder how it will price compared to the Superior Deluxe Balcony cabins?

That's what I was thinking screwy.
More Juliet balconies that usable ones.
Having said that, I quite like what I've seen so far.
My main concern is the size of it and the volume of passengers.
Empty vessels .. and all that

Looking at the deck plans for Costa's offering there appears to be some quite large balconies which no doubt will come at a price!

Also I have just noticed on the Costa ship that they look to have the Conservatory mini-suite cabins

I think they look great and will no doubt be very popular, probably more so than full suites. We’d book one!

Just comparing the deck plans of quantum OTS with AIDAnova, both built by Meyer Werth at Papenberg and having a similar beam, and it looks as though Iona will have much smaller cabins and balconies than Quantum.

They look small for mini suites.

It looks lovely. I like the idea of a conservatory but the ship is too big for us. I really wouldn't like to be on a ship with so many passengers. Why doesn't someone build the perfect ship for me. A smaller version of this which sails to and from Liverpool to anywhere in the world I want. Is that really too much to ask. :D

Well if I had a couple hundred million I could have my own huge yacht and sail from the IOM which would be even better.
