What do we think of Fiona Bruce for Question Time?

Unread post by towny44 »

Whilst she is very good on the news, documentaries, Antiques road show and Fake or Fortune etc., I don't believe she has the gravitas to anchor and control a panel on QT.

I think Andrew Neil would have been my ideal choice, but he is probably too right wing for the BBC, who have already sidelined him on Politics live. I just hope that FB is better at controlling the panel than Jo Coburn on Politics live.

Thanks David....probably not the reason you are thinking but he was getting a bit stale.

As long as it's not Robert Preston l'm not bothered......that being said l think Hue Edward would make a good replacement.

The report I read said that in audition she surprised the bosses at the BBC - so maybe she'll surprise the viewers too! Maybe there's a side to her that we haven't seen.

I suspect that she is far more formidable than she appears

Well she seems to be settling into the role quite well - could do with being a bit more assertive at time but she is nowhere near as rude as Dimbleby
