New Cruise Release up to April 2022

#1

Post by david63 »

Just received in the post a full brochure for cruises from November 2019 to April 2022.

Most unusual as they are not released until Monday - although I cannot see anything that "floats my boat"

I have seen a few I quite fancy but haven’t got the brochure yet.

If I send you a fiver can you book it for us :D

A deal, you can then come back and tell me if I'd like it

Not over keen on the itinerary. Would like more Ireland stops if you can arrange it.

P&O apologising on their Facebook page for sending out brochures too early - mistake on the part of the despatch service they use. Hilarious post from someone waiting for postman with her copy only to be disappointed

Haven’t had a chance to look at mine yet - may be a bit of light reading later on ;)

I seen that on P&O Facebook (I'm not on it but very occasionally look at P&O) and it made me laugh! at least a chuckle!

Hi pool boy

Either your cruise code of J111 is incorrect or I'm not yet privy to viewing it online.

I know one thing, the website is driving me up the wall.

I booked a cruise on Queen Victoria a few weeks ago for October 2021, which is a lot more expensive fare than our average.

Therefore I wasn't looking for anything in this latest P&O brochure, but two cruises for early 2022 have caught my eye.

There a 35 night cruise in February 2022 on Ventura. (we were last on Ventura in 2012). The usual ports in the USA are included (e.g. New Orleans and Miami), but instead of the usual Caribbean islands, there are Roatan, Belize, Bermuda and the Bahamas, all of which would be new to us.

Then there's a 55 night cruise on Arcadia in January 2022 (last on Arcadia in 2014) which has Bermuda and Bahamas, Caribbean, Central America and the Amazon. Lots of new places for us.

We have the money saved up, so the funds are there if we decided to do one of these cruises.

But I'm wrestling with the thought SHOULD we do two major cruises (QV and Ventura/Arcadia) within a 3 - 4 month period, or should we wait a bit longer. But if we waited, the perfect cruise might not come along again. Plus, you never know what's around the corner, and I don't want to be in a position where I regret not doing something when I had the chance.

we are currently having a think about it

We generally allow 3-4 months between cruises, so your timing seems perfect.

Go for it. We usually only do one a year but we had only 1 day between two this year and only have 3 months between two next year! If you like the look of it grab it while you can.

Doing the Vin Ordinaire type cruises in quick succession is fine but the BIG BOY ones like Worldie Segments or the Americas should be done on an annual basis for maximum enjoyment ….. for us anyway.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

Have been looking at 19 nights in a balcony cabin for 2021. I notice the prices seem reasonable but they are only offering £75 on board credit per person. Last time we had £200 each.
Swings and roundabouts.
