Virgin cruise ships.

#1

Post by Ray B »

I have just had a look at the photos showing how the Vigin cruise ships will look. Looking for something that is easy on the eye to which you can say, yes, I like that. The photos show the pointy end (bow) shots of the first and second ships to enter service soon. To me they look sleek, very pleasing to the eye. They look very good, saying to me that these ships are shouting out 'look at me, this is how you design a ship' .
There is then the photos of the the blunt ends (stern) of the ships.
The first ship Scarlet Lady looks like a block of modern apartment's with a rounded end, quite unsightly to look at.
Then there is the second offering from Virgin the Valiant Lady. The same design with the block of apartments stuck on top of the hull, but this one is squared off. To say that it too is unsightly is beinging polite. No, the back is grotesque, monstrous, how can anyone say that looks nice.
Well that is just my thoughts. Anyone out there finding anything nice to say about the sterns.
Don't worry, be happy

Not red if the photos of the first are to be believed, it looks more like battleship grey.

Good video review of Scarlet Lady.

Personally I think I would want to be paid to travel on her.

I can see similarities between this and Ryanair....no frills, cheap and claustrophobic. I did however like the reviewer who appeared to give a fair unbiased opinion.

Seen the video, it is certainly not for me. Maybe the new generation of cruisers will like the inside design, but in my view, it's more like it all came from Ikea.

They probably serve Swedish meatballs in the dining room as well.
