Carnival Cruises

Unread post by Ray B »

Two more ships have today had a coming together. The Carnival Glory collided with the Carnival legend as it was docking in Cozumal Maxico. It also just missed hitting the Royal Caribbean Oasis of the seas reports are saying. It seems that the Carnival Ships have a history of bumps along with Royal Caribbean or is my imagination?
One person was reported slightly injured and the Carnival Glory suffered damage to decks 3 and 4.

Just a bit of a nudge. Give it a lick of paint and it'll be good as new.

Foxy, looks to me stern deck four has been remodeled to join deck three and on the other ship it now has a pile of railings deposited on the bow. Some how I think it may be a bit more than a panel beater and a tub of filler.

It seems the one behind was already berthed so little doubt about blame. One presumes Captain relieved of duties.

There's a new word for all of us, allision a maritime word for when one moving vessel hits a stationary one.

A contributing factor will probably be that they were trying to manoeuvre a ship in a space designed for smaller ships?

Looks pretty extensive damage go me.

Worth saving up those excuses in cases of a bump in the car. Sorry officer. Unexpected wind.

But they reckon they're going to fix it on turnaround day. So watch out for sticky back plastic, sheets of plywood and several rolls of gaffer tape.

Santa is going to be extra busy with the compo claims. You know what the yanks are like. Someone up front of ship spilt they're coffee and the worlds ended.
