Off on this cruise on Thursday, but worrying about getting to the airport and whether flight will be OK with this awful weather we're having! Wish us luck everyone!!

If you've got a decent way to travel would it be better staying overnight just for peace of mind?

Hopefully the weather & flights will have settled down by then, bon voyage :D

Yes, we are staying overnight. Would do that anyway even if the weather was fine. Can't be doing with getting up in the middle of the night and driving to the airport in the dark!

We usually do the same as the holiday starts a day earlier :)

Lucky you, escaping this horrible weather

The extra day you have in reserve should just about be sufficient even if the weather does get bad again.

Latest forecast is for quite a lot of snow moving from the SE today, reaching and spreading across the north overnight.

Well we've made a decision this morning about our travel plans. We've decided to go by train from Sheffield to Manchester Airport - just need to get a taxi willing to drive us to the station. Hopefully by Wednesday the roads will be passable and we won't have a problem. Today they wouldn't even take a booking for Wednesday! I see flights are disrupted at Manchester, but maybe by Thursday morning (when our flight is) things will be better.

Fingers crossed for you. The snow here in Lancashire has cleared today. We are about 40 mins from Manchester airport. Have a fantastic cruise.

Sue
