Booking Speciality Restaurants
When does Sindhu become available to book online. All I keep seeing is ‘Coming Soon’.

Re: Booking Speciality Restaurants
I think it was about 3-4 weeks before we went when the restaurant booking opened up

Re: Booking Speciality Restaurants
We always book when on board Stephen.
We’ve never had a problem.
Sometimes they do a special offer, particularly early in the cruise.
We’ve had half price a couple of times and once, a free bottle of wine.
We really enjoyed Sindu and will use it again when we go.
Mrs B is keen to try the hanging fish kebabs in the Beach House as well.
We’ll also use Epicurean for her birthday evening.

We love Sindhu but it's Epicurean for us too for a very special occasion.

I am fairly sure I read somewhere recently that booking pre cruise there are some good deals to be had - whether there are restrictions on then (day/time) I don't know or whether there are better deals when onboard again I don't know.

Re: Booking Speciality Restaurants
I expect we will book for our anniversary which is the day after we board on the Monday. So is it a case of booking before we board and pretty much guaranteeing a table and time of our choice or take a chance and book asap on board and maybe pick up an early booking deal.

Re: Booking Speciality Restaurants
Remember that when onboard you can book through the app ... quite efficient, but do it as quickly as possible, you can scan in a QR code (you will find in your cabin) and get logged on and booking before you unpack (you will need the last few digits from your cruise card to set it up).
In Sindhus all the menu items are priced and charged separately. We paid £10 each when booking it pre-cruise and this was deducted from the final bill which was priced as per menu. For Ref starters and desserts were about £5-6 and mains were about £10-14 each.

It all changed Stephen, certain things are charged by the item I believe.

I wasn’t thinking of going that mad. If the two pound supplement has stopped it’s the breakfast panini on the balcony for her and she should think her self luckyMervyn and Trish wrote: ↑09 Apr 2022, 18:32Don't worry Stephen. Treat her to a nice buffet instead.

Re: Booking Speciality Restaurants
As Whynd1 says that is not the pricing model used by Sindhus any more ... having said that the prices were less than I would expect from a local Asian restaurant. The Beach House still uses the one off charge with some things having a supplement (e.g. lava/salt rock steak)

Being sympathetic to your wallletary needs (something that women are usually incapable off), can I suggest you consider the hotdog/burger bar or the Pizza restaurant on Lido deck ... both are all you can eat for free. If you are lucky the grab'n'go may be operational if she wants for all you can eat free salads and desserts.Stephen wrote: ↑09 Apr 2022, 21:07I wasn’t thinking of going that mad. Just been looking at the Beach House menu, no doubt will give that a go again, and definitely the Glass House.

Only problem with booking online is, if things on board take your fancy, do some go elsewhere, or is there an on line booking charge?
Don't worry, be happy

There is a charge made for booking online but that is deducted off your final bill. We were able to easily move a Sindhus booking once on board.

Taken off P&O web site for Sindhu.
All dishes are individually priced allowing you the flexibility to choose one, two or three courses. A £10 per person reservation charge is required to secure your reservation. For Sindhu bookings made via My P&O Cruises, a 20% discount will be applied to all food items, and the prepaid reservation charge deducted from your bill.

I forgot about the 20% discount, and can confirm it was taken off our orders ... and you can also deduct your loyalty tier discount. In the end our final bill was about £14 (we had no drinks in that) plus the original £20 booking fee so about £34 for 3 courses and the little extras

Re: Booking Speciality Restaurants
I don’t know if they still do it but the Glass House used to do an exceptional cheese board that was nice as an afternoon snack with a decent glass of wine. We’d share one (cheese not wine)Stephen wrote: ↑10 Apr 2022, 12:06Taken off P&O web site for Sindhu.

I'm up for that barney if they still do it. Cheese is a weakness of mine.
