We used the coach a few years ago and the coaches, drivers and service were very good. We would happily use the coaches again except we live 30 miles away from the pick up point (Carlisle) so it's just as easy to drive. We have friends in Lancashire who always use them.

We used the coach in August. Very comfortable journey. Would recommend.

The only issue is from Scotland you leave very early, and I mean early and get back late. If I remember correctly it was something like 5.30 from Carlisle. Check the coach times.

A plus is the ship won't go without you if you're held up. Or worst case they'll get you to the first port of call.

Thanks for all the replies, looks like we're going by coach, had enough of airports this year and totally fed up with the "hassle".

Don't blame you. I gave up on them years ago.
