Extra onboard spending

Unread post by Billyp53 »

We keep reading about people being granted extra onboard spending, does this only apply to those booking directly with P&O as we have booked through travel agents?

There could be a few reasons Billy. Some may be share holders, P&O may be feeling generous and giving a bit more on certain cruises or if someone has had a whinge about something they may give a little extra as compensation.

And no it doesn’t matter if you booked direct or through your travel agent.

No, we booked through Bolsover and got extra on our last cruise. I think it's to discourage those who booked early from cancelling and rebooking when there are new deals with good OBC. So whether you get it will depend on a number of factors but booking direct isn't one of them.

Hi Billy, I booked our upcoming cruise through an agent and just before the balance was due, got an email telling me that we have an additional £100.
I think it’s to encourage people not to cancel.
I did cancel and rebook some time ago to get the new obc deal so it’s not that.
I don’t know if it’s happening on all cruises or just those with a lot of vacancies.
We’re going from Tenerife on 6th January from Bristol.
We got a good deal which was less than we normally pay for a decent all inclusive resort.
With the increased obc plus shareholders, this holiday is now all inclusive for us.
