I think you are being pedantic - you live in Bristol (albeit on the outskirts) - just cos the Royal Mail changed the boundaries don't mean you are not a BristolianSilver_Shiney wrote:I only "work" in Brizzle, I don't live there

The Giant store at Willow Brook proclaims itself to be in Bristol......just saying. By the way whats the French connection with street names like Concorde Way and Champs sur Marne? Do you live on Fiddlers Wood Lane?

Don't get me started on that - no one bloody doesn't - and they drive around at nought miles an hour clogging up the roads at rush hour and damaging the road surface at the same time

They might do where you live, but here in the 21st century they all run on pneumatic rubber tyres, causing a lot less damage to the road than your average articulated HGV.

Not wishing to be pedantic, but managing it anyway, surely at nought miles per hour the damage would be minimal? Just saying........qbman1 wrote:Don't get me started on that - no one bl**dy doesn't - and they drive around at nought miles an hour clogging up the roads at rush hour and damaging the road surface at the same time

Hereabouts speed isn't so much the problem, but they are so bl**dy wide it's next to impossible to get past them.

Probably because most of the buggers towing them can't handle them and they end up driving straight into the lakes so they don't bother normal people on the roads !!Not so ancient mariner wrote:Believe it or not - they are not so much a problem here as they are some places, either.

Why should I be sulking? No need to look up boundary maps, I know where the boundary is, part way down Filton AvenueThe Tinker wrote:Is Shiney sulking now or is he busy looking up the boundary maps?
