Re: Cabin Reviews - Ventura
We had B750 (3 away) on Azura which is the same design.
We were very, very pleased with it.
We really like aft cabins.
The Arcadia ones are the best.
Sue Kersh put us on to these.
B756 looks a good choice in my opinion.

Thank you Barney, that's put my mind at rest. They're getting excited already.

Re: Cabin Reviews - Ventura
Hi everyone,
Just to keep the costs down a bit, I was wondering about booking an Obstructed View cabin on Ventura E deck (namely E705-718 as they don't have any obvious lifeboats by them). Can anyone advise if you have stayed in an Obstructed View cabin and was it really that bad?
Many thanks
Andy

We have had an obstructed view cabin before. We chose one which was not totally obstructed and to be honest it didn't bother us at all. Usually it was between lifeboats but not sure I would bother with a cabin which was totally obstructed as you would have no view at all apart from a view of the sky.

Cabin Number: P242 - outside cabin
Overall Rating: 4
Cleanliness: 5
Furnishings: 4
Balcony: N/A
Bathroom: 4
Location: 4
Stability: 5
Quiet Cabin?: 5
We actually paid for the lowest grade outside obstructed view on a guarantee basis (Select) and were allocated this unobstructed cabin.
It's very low down and we had no stability issues but it was a bit of a shock to find the side thruster was positioned under my mattress, on first docking. This wasn't an issue though. It's only for a few minutes.
This cabin had two extra berths folded up against the wall as we had a queen configuration, you had to be a bit careful on getting in or out of bed.
It was quite easy to bang your shoulder, but we soon got used to it with no incidents.
All in all, no issues.

Hi Markthe hammer and welcome to the forum.
Take a look at the deck plan. Looking at the cabin grade it will have an obstructed view.

Yes cabins on that deck generally look out on where the lifeboats are stowed but it looks as though you will be far enough astern to not be too bad.
But if you can see anything it's gonna be the sea most of the time.

Re: Cabin Reviews - Ventura
There used to be photos of all the Ventura and Azura obstructed cabins taken through the cabin windows. They were available on the P&O website, and Princess also had similar photos of their Grand Princess ships which probably would be the same as P&Os, so a search by Google should find them.
