We don't need that much stuff! Did you order 10 packs of toilets rolls to bump up the price?Manoverboard wrote: 17 Apr 2020, 11:36But instead of that you cowered behind the elderly couple until the car was out of sight.Stephen wrote: 17 Apr 2020, 11:23Lovely sunny weather here although with a strong cool breeze.
Just walked up to the post office with Mrs S using it as our daily walk. Told a motorist what I thought of him on the way back. Completely blocking the pavement with his car while chatting to a couple of ladies. What triggered it was an elderly couple had to cross over because of his car.
And of course you get the usual sarcastic verbal back. Thick as shite some people. I could have quite easily walked over and landed him one, the prat.
ps ... don't tell Merv but I got a free delivery slot for this coming Monday![]()

We used to go to the Forge regularly for a drink or a meal. It's an Indian restaurant now. Our favourite special treat restaurant was the Old Beams at Waterhouses
Are we keeping you up?

The reason I mentioned ' The Forge ' was because we got to know the owners Murray and Wendy reasonably well, at the end of the year they would swanney off to the Caribbean with P&O and it was their enthusiasm that persuaded us to book our first then second cruises. After we left the area they sold up and it became an American Diner or some such.

Murray was a great character. Very funny. He used to buy his cars from my secretary's husband.Manoverboard wrote: 17 Apr 2020, 18:36Gosh ... our paths have crossed yet again.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 17 Apr 2020, 17:44We used to go to the Forge regularly for a drink or a meal.
