Not a bad idea, but it will never happen.Kendhni wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 07:47Listening to this story

I am starting to think that it is time that the unvaccinated got turned away from hospitals until this crisis is over.

Arguably with that attitude should she be in nursing at all?barney wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 09:19He told me that she’s currently minded to leave rather than be vaccinated.

Prem League clubs can randomly select 9,999 season ticket holders for permitted entry, the remainder will be refunded and the pay on the day turnstiles will be closed. Will you be taking the p*ss when you drive to Leek at 29 mph ?Mervyn and Trish wrote: 15 Dec 2021, 19:17I hope their counting is accurate. If not, throw the book at them. I'd have more respect if they said 9,000. They're just taking the p*ss.
It would serve them right if the government said okay then, Covid passports all round or play behind closed doors.

It is a "cunning plan" so that we cannot send illegal immigrants straight backMervyn and Trish wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 09:54I see France is playing petty spite politics again. Obviously France doesn't already have Omicron and neither do any other EU countries.

Do we have to accept them in the first place if they haven' filled in a Passenger Locator Form?david63 wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 10:24It is a "cunning plan" so that we cannot send illegal immigrants straight backMervyn and Trish wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 09:54I see France is playing petty spite politics again. Still a strange choice should she go down that road given the training etc to get there.
My brother knows a lady who was a care home manager who refused vaccine and now works in the local chip shop. Still unvaccinated I presume.

Perhaps the car's been nicked? Or they've been invited to a party at No 10?barney wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 12:13Neighbour opposite arrived back from Tenerife last night.
No car on the drive this morning.
Aren’t arrivals from abroad supposed to isolate for two days before getting a negative pcr test ?
Maybe it’s all changed again.
Can’t keep up![]()

That has to be comedy gold. If they get admitted to hospital they usually end up begging for all sorts of concoctions to be pumped into them that make the vaccine look like a sip of water.

It's the usual issue. We test twice as many as France and DNA sequence more samples then the rest of Europe put together. So they actually don't have a clue how many cases they have.david63 wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 13:00So according to the French Prime Minister "Omicron spreads "extremely quickly" in the UK" - only in the UK? Does it not spread just as quickly in France, or does it slow down when in Europe?

I think the French PM is right, Omicron must be pooped after crossing all that water.david63 wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 13:00So according to the French Prime Minister "Omicron spreads "extremely quickly" in the UK" - only in the UK? It gets strangled in EU red tape.david63 wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 13:00So according to the French Prime Minister "Omicron spreads "extremely quickly" in the UK" - only in the UK? Does it not spread just as quickly in France, or does it slow down when in Europe?

Frustrating isn't it? Elsewhere I've seen people saying France has blocked travel because they're getting (slightly) fewer cases per day and very few Omicron. Given they test half as many as us and sequence very few, quelle surprise!david63 wrote: 16 Dec 2021, 18:47In the news tonight - China has now recorded 100,000 cases of Covid since the outbreak started two years ago, yes right we all believe that one.
I suppose if you don't test people then you will not get many reported cases - perhaps we should cut back on the number of tests that we do so that our numbers will fall in line with other countries.

... or an apathetic electorate - the turnout was down by about one third.
