I can't use the M32, seeing as I'm on a 49cc moped! Anyway, the A38 is closer to the office. I did change my route this morning, though, as the ringroad by Abbeywood station has been known to flood. The Tinker wrote:Better planning of your workloads needed then chaps - look at shiney for example dont see him complaining that the m32 was flooded this morning.

My son hit a wet patch last week and wrapped his car round a fence post, inflating two airbags and writing the car off. They'd only had it a week.....The Tinker wrote:I do feel your pain DK - this is one of the downsides of moving to Somerset and commuting to Bristol.
Somerset - on the levels - floods frequently and aqua planning is the most scariest thing going.
I, too, travel up a very very steep hill and the first time it was like trying to drive up a waterfall - I now work from home when the going goes too deep.

Working from home is not terribly practical when the purpose of the journey is to get to Southampton to join your ship. Anyhow, we had a prolonged stop to let the worst of it blow over, and had a much better 2nd leg of the journey. Now it's just a 90 minute hop to Mayflower. The Tinker wrote:Better planning of your workloads needed then chaps - look at shiney for example dont see him complaining that the m32 was flooded this morning.
