You must have 'disposed' of all those beers so perhaps a lot of the extra weight was due to fluid retention for the last couple of days.

Nah, it's probably Acrylonitrile Butadeine Styrene.
I worked on a Foster Wheeler job burning that stuff in water suspension, at North Tees 40 years ago, easier than burning fat on the inch pinchers diet.

Maureen[/quoteHi Maureen.....you could be right as l did leave the party feeling a little tipsy......although to my recollection l only consumed 4 pints of tetlys, add to this the water that my wife made me drink once we got back to the hotel then you can easily see where the extra 3 fluid lbs came from.

But how do you explain away two plate fulls of assorted yummy's and 3 puddings?

Hi Stephen....along the same lines....

A pharmacist walked into his shop to find a man leaning against the wall. “What’s wrong with him?” he asked his assistant. “He came in for cough syrup but I couldn’t find any so I gave him an entire bottle of laxatives.”"you stupid idiot” said the chemist “you can’t treat a cough with laxatives” “Of course u can” the assistant replied “Look at him, he’s too scared to cough now.

1.7lbs this week, happy with that. Love Friday though.. It's wine night  Had a goal weight to reach by next Friday and despite, birthdays etc. in the last couple of weeks, where I lapsed a bit, I reckon I will make it. Then off to board Ventura to put it back on!! Actually, I don't normally over indulge on food in the Caribbean as it is so hot I eat loads of salads and fruit and I do a lot of walking, swimming etc. However, we do have a nice bottle of wine every night... Hey ho can't be good all the time..

12st 2lb 4oz this monring, down 14oz from last week - that's not bad considering I've only taken the bus once to work this week, so nothing like as much walking, and I've been indulging my appetite a bit too much as well.

Just 1 lb for me this week which I'm very disappointed with :(

I have probably been more careful of what I've eaten this week than any other .. I can't even blame it on the Vino as I haven't touched a drop since last Sunday maybe that is where I've gone wrong :o

There doesn't seem to be any logic to how much you lose each week, DQ. I'm like you in that when I try to be very good I am usually disappointed with the results and I have decided that most of the time my weight loss is due to how much exercise I get in the week rather than how careful I've been with food. This week it is a loss of one and half pounds so I'm happy with that.

As I said in a previous entry, most of my size 14s fit nicely but a few of the others fitted where they touched. Those are starting to fit better, thank goodness, but I'm sure that you find the same as me, that sizes vary so much from shop to shop even though they are listed as a 14. I usually find the 14 in a well known high street store quite generous on me but can pick up a 14 in another store and it is extremely tight fitting. Why can't they standardise sizes but I suppose the quality of the material, any stretch in it, whether it is lined etc can also make a difference to how it fits and feels on you.

Anyway, onwards and downwards, hopefully.

Good morning pinchers,

Looking back at some of the previous posts it looks like we're in for some excellent weight losses this week, alas l've not done so good this week having only lost one pound. Nethertheless that one lb has taken me below 13 stone which means just three more and l will have lost one stone.

Sorry l havn't been around to give you some encouragement this week but l've been laid up with my back which has been giving me quite a lot of jib, squeak squeak.

Remember pinchers.." tummy moving south, a little less by mouth"

Regards

Hi Jo,

As Jenni has said you do have the odd week where nothing seems to budge but don't get down hearted as l'm sure next weeks weigh in will put a smile on your face

Besides, you've still lost a lb which has to be better than the 20 l lost on Saturday

I managed 3lb this week. Still managing to steer clear of chocolate and crisps which is my downfall.
