The best book on cruising......
.....I have ever written (it's also the only book I have ever written!)
Ok, I've finally grown a pair and decided to publish my book, Sicknote Goes Cruising, but here's the deal - obviously, if you read it, I really hope you enjoy it. However, if possible, can you please refrain from the following :
- mentioning to me any of the personal bits, especially those involving the blow up doll (or dolls) on my balcony.
- any praise whatsoever. I am only slightly less uncomfortable receiving compliments than I am with the personal stuff, so think on.
- And, just in case they outweigh your thoughts on the previous two points, please place all negative comments into a pink fluffy box in your mind, and keep it there.
Aside from that, all comments and feedback will be gratefully treasured in my heart alongside the truly glorious fact that you actually read my book. Well, some of it anyway. Before you got bored I mean. Which, fingers crossed, means a chapter at least. Ok, a page then.
Cheers to all those who got me this far - without such comments as "it's brilliant", "it's hilarious", "did you really get a stiffy?" my book would never have seen the light of day.
Cheers
DTM
P.s. It's about cruising and stuff.
P.p.s oh yeah, fairly important bit missed, you can get it here :

The book is now on my Kindle and I have read 6% of it already! Definitely destined to be a best seller. Loving it.
Amazed to see this all began on 9/11.

Thank you ladies, really chuffed
Just one thing I've been made aware of on the kindle version - there are a few minor spacing issues which, whilst making minimal difference, are being corrected overnight. Only minimal thing but any problems please let me know.
If david is ok with it, I'll post the links tomorrow.

Search on Amazon for the title of the book which DTM mentioned on the second page of this thread (Sicknote Goes Cruising). I have just found it and am now trying to decide whether to get the paperback or the Kindle version.

That cover took me ages ( and needed some help from Ray & Sue) so glad you liked it.

Thanks all, really amazed with the response.
I'm ok to post the link now but will do this over in the book club section so I'm not flogging my wares in the main forum

Re: A Big Thank You.......
Just out of interest DTM are there a specific number for sale or will they just keep printing as long as they are selling, the only reason I am asking is I will promote it for you on our next cruise and I will actually take my copy ( once read ) to give to the library on board., I will of course expect a replacement signed by the author

That would be great DQ. I had wondered if P&O would allow me to donate a copy to each ship but wasn't sure if they would be interested.Dancing Queen wrote:Just out of interest DTM are there a specific number for sale or will they just keep printing as long as they are selling, the only reason I am asking is I will promote it for you on our next cruise and I will actually take my copy ( once read ) to give to the library on board., I will of course expect a replacement signed by the author
In terms of volume, as far as I am aware they print them as and when they are purchased so, in theory, no limit. Or at least until I lose my bottle again and make it unavailable

Their predicted delivery date might be a few days more than normal as I believe it gets sent from Charlestown, but still PDQ I think . Hope it's ok.
